TERMS AND CONDITIONS

MUST READ BEFORE HIRING

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING TERMS AND CONDITIONS BEFORE PUTTING DOWN A DEPOSIT TO HIRE.

  1. We hire out our dresses for 5-day periods (for example, 10-14th of January).
     

  2. Our hire fee includes dry cleaning.
    This means that once your hire period is over, we will take care of cleaning the dress for you.
     

  3. We can save the dress for your event date.
    By putting down a 50% dress hire fee deposit (this amount is non refundable), you can save your 5 day hire period in advance.
     

  4. We take a refunded-on-return bond fee.
    The bond amount depends on each dress. However, this whole amount is refunded back to you once we receive the dress back, dropped it off at the dry cleaners and have checked it's condition once it has been cleaned (making sure that there are no tears or irremovable stains).
    This takes approximately 1-3 business days. If the dress is not returned back to us in the same condition it was sent to you and is deemed irreparable, the fee is the retail price of the dress. Once you have paid this, you will now own the dress!
     

  5. We express post Australia wide!
    We only offer express postage with Australia Post and the dress should arrive at yours the next business day.
    This may vary with each state/suburb - some parcels take an extra day or two to be delivered, however this all depends on Australia Post so unfortunately we have no control over the date that the parcel arrives once it has been dropped off at the Australia Post office.
    Express postage is an extra $50 for formal gowns ($25 to send to you and $25 for a prepaid satchel for you to send back to us) and $30 for semi formal dresses ($15 to send to you and $15 for a prepaid satchel for you to send back to us). 
     

  6. You are welcome to come try on the dress before hiring.
    We are located in Sydney so give us an email (lamodehire@gmail.com) and we will organise a time for you to come in and try on the dress.
     

  7. Please keep in mind that these dresses are going to be in second-hand condition.
    We always try to keep our dresses in the best condition possible for your hire period however, sometimes accidents do happen and there may be irremovable stains made on the dress. If a stain is made on the dress and you have put down a deposit down for the dress in advance, we will notify you as soon as possible with the size and a photo of the stain. If you are fine with the stains, we are happy for you to hire the dress however, you may also get the option to get a full refund of your deposit.
     

  8. We do not take responsibility for wrong sizing.
    All sizing and measurements are listed on our website. If measurements are not listed on our website, give us an email and we will happily send them to you.
    However, we do understand the importance of making sure the dress fits right. Please read the following steps carefully:
    You must get in contact with us via phone call or text message (0414 862 345) within 2 hours of receiving the dress. We will be going according to the time the Aus Post tracker (https://auspost.com.au/parcels-mail/track.html) says the dress has been delivered to your address (not the time at which you arrived home, got home from school, etc).
    1. If you drop off the dress at an Australia Post office the same day you received it (after contacting us), we will refund you the whole hire fee + whole bond fee (this excludes the express postage fee).
    2. If you drop off the dress at an Australia Post office the next morning (after contacting us), we will only charge 30% of the hire fee (and will refund the rest of the hire + whole bond fee) (this excludes the express postage fee).
    3. If we do not receive any contact within 2 hours of receiving the dress (which means none of the steps would have been complete), unfortunately we will not consider a refund.
     

  9. The garment must be returned in the same condition it was first given to you.
    Dry cleaning gets rid of most stains however once there is a tear or dark stain on the garment, the repair fee will be deducted from your bond. However, if the dress is deemed irreparable, the fee is the retail price of the dress. Once this is paid, you will now own the dress!
     

  10. There is a late fee of $50 per day for each day the dress is returned late.
    We try our best to give each and every customer their garment in excellent condition and have strictly booked schedules when hiring out these designer pieces. When a garment is returned late, this may impact on someone else's 5-day booked period and harms our business. Therefore, when we do not receive the dress on time, there is a late fee of $50 per day for each day it is returned late. This must be paid within 7 days of notice.
